falling with grace
Autumn.

For those of you who are where the term “fall” is only a synonym for:
- drop, go down, keel (over), pitch, plunge, slump, topple, tumble
If it weren’t for winter, I think Autumn would be my favorite season. My dad and his girlfriend were here visiting yesterday. We drove around looking at the sites. I attribute my fascination with buildings and structures and patterns to him; he loves architecture; he’s an architect at heart who got abducted by a calculator an eon ago. We went to the space center to see the rockets and stuff.
Standing in front of the machines that put the human race on the moon and I was more amazed at the colors and textures and chaos nature presents with such glorious authority. Everywhere we looked yesterday we saw nature’s little post-it notes flurrying about, piling up, and painting the ground; reminding me of how important cycles are in life.
Welcome, autumn, please come in and stay for a while.Coffee’s brewing and I’d love to hear your stories until we both fall asleep and winter comes to carry you off to bed.
